Version 1.4.3
🎵 Music
Added background music to make Embervale feel more alive!
⚠️ Due to Twitch guidelines, music will be muted by default and audio settings reset every session. On the Website and Steam, your settings will be saved as expected. 👍
📘 Glossary
Items now display their sub-category (e.g. class usage), helping you instantly recognize who can equip them — and improving performance.
The item glossary now also shows the minimum level requirement for each item.
🛒 Shop
Hovering over the reputation percentage now clearly indicates that reputation decreases by 12–24 points daily.
Added a warning when you refresh a legendary item (like it does for a mythical) - if both are there the mythical warning will be displayed
Adjusted text color for the warnings; mythical warning is now in purple and legendary warning in gold.
When selling mythical items you will receive another big red warning if you really want to sell it to prevent accidentially selling mythicals.
🛠️ Other
Fixed a visual bug where the realm setting incorrectly displayed the original realm right after character creation.
Added a settings button (top-right) during character creation, allowing early access settings like music volume and resolution.
Improved handling when the chatbot isn’t set up: players are now sent back to the pre-lobby screen, and the Adventure Beginner's Guide opens automatically to explain how it works.

Now live on the Website and Steam!
After creating your character, you’ll be shown a list of all currently running adventures. This highlights that Embervale’s core experience revolves around adventures—not just bounties.
A new Find Adventures button has been added to the navigation menu under “Adventures.” This lets all viewers browse active adventures directly in-game.
(If you're hosting adventures and prefer not to appear in this public list, you can disable visibility in your adventure settings at any time.)

Update 1.4.2 (1/4)
Embervale is now live on Steam! 🎉
🌍 Introducing Realms
Realms define who you see and compete against on the leaderboard. You can always switch to older realms, but never to realms that opened after your character was created.
→ Realms only affect leaderboard and arena visibility.
Why Realms?
With the Steam launch, we’re hopefully welcoming a wave of new players. To give everyone a fair shot at climbing the leaderboard, we’re introducing Realms — a system designed to balance competition while keeping everyone in the same world.
Previously, new players joining months later had almost no chance of catching up on the leaderboard. Realms improve this by grouping characters based on their creation date. That means new players compete in a fresh environment — without being overshadowed by long-time veterans.
🔥 Important: Realms do not affect gameplay.
You can still play, adventure, and (soon) form guilds with friends across realms.
The only thing realms affect is who you see on the leaderboard and arena.
As new players progress, many will naturally choose to switch to the Prime realm to challenge the OGs and prove themselves.
Available Realms
Prime – Opened on 09.09.2024
Steamgate – Opened on 12.06.2025 (today)
How Realm Switching Works
Characters created after this update can switch freely between Prime and Steamgate via the in-game settings — anytime, instantly, and with no cost or restrictions.
Characters created before this update are automatically placed in the Prime realm and always see all players, regardless of realm.
This ensures new players can enjoy fair competition, while existing players continue to see and engage with the entire community.
So What Actually Changes?
Only the players you see on your leaderboard and therefore the players you face in arena.
The game world remains completely shared — nothing else is limited or locked.
Update 1.4.2 (2/4)
New Items
Added 377 new items to enhance loot variety, with a focus on expanding the mythical item pool. This reduces repetition in categories that previously had only 3 mythicals, preventing the same items from appearing repeatedly.
Item Generation
We've slightly adjusted the stat point per level values of newly generated lower rarity items to reduce the performance gap between rarities:
common 0.75 -> 1
uncommon 1 -> 1.25
rare 1.5 -> 1.75
epic 2 -> 2.25
legendary 3 -> 3
mythical 4 -> 4
New Adventure Events:
Curse of the Werewolf
Friend or Frog event
Petrification Cure
Can I Pet That Dog event
Snatched Away
Magic Fox Encounter
Barbarian's Quest event chain
Magical Barrier Chamber event
Tinkerer's Camp
Creep in the Streets
The Hag Hut event
The Lesser Brother event
Version 1.4.2 (3/4)
Adventure
🗺️ Dice Roll Transparency
We’ve improved how dice rolls are displayed to make things clearer!
Previously, you might have seen unusually high dice roll requirements, even for events that weren’t meant to be that difficult. This was because the room number passively increased the required roll behind the scenes.
Now, the required number shown for each event stays true to its original design. Instead of "silently" raising the difficulty, we now display a negative modifier (from 0 to -3) that reflects the challenge added by reaching higher rooms.
The total (dice roll + modifier) will never exceed 20. For example, if an event requires a roll of 19, the room modifier is capped at -1 — maintaining the original difficulty and not making things harder.
🔧 Updated Room Penalty Thresholds:
-1 modifier → Previously applied at Room 10, now starts at Room 20.
-2 modifier → Previously applied at Room 25, now starts at Room 40.
-3 modifier → Previously applied at Room 50, now starts at Room 60.
This slightly lowers the difficulty across all rooms for dice rolls
Other
The streamer can now open the tool menu directly from the voting screen, making it easier to view or select tools—especially when an event offers tools as a reward.
Improved stability when deleting and creating new adventures. This update also fixes issues where characters weren’t rendered properly or when the first event of a new adventure matched the final event of the previous one.
Fixed a bug where the adventure outcome would reappear incorrectly if you switched to another menu and then returned to the adventure screen. This could result in displaying incorrect data, such as morale 0→0.
Updated events:
Changed Mystery Bottle and Lich's Castle event chains to be less dependent on the number of players in the adventure.
Changed City Fortune Event to fight a Hag instead of a Sorceress.
Update 1.4.2 (4/4)
Shop
The Shopkeeper now holds a small potion in hand when a potion is available in the shop.
[Technical] Shop refresh now verifies and compares all displayed item with those stored on the server. If any mismatch is detected, the refresh is blocked and a reload prompt appears. This prevents issues caused by lag or having multiple game instances open, ensuring you never accidentally refresh the wrong items.
Other
The "Unequip Title" button is now red and always anchored at the bottom of the title equipment menu for easier access.
Added clear labels to the character creation fields, making it easier to identify each input — even after entering text.
Optimized performance for the Glossary.
Improved mobile & desktop layout and usability for the Arena.
Fixed an issue where material chests couldn’t be opened if your gear inventory was full.
Fixed a rare visual bug when opening chests:
Knights could incorrectly see two-handed weapon, Warriors could see swords. Rangers could see daggers, Rogues could see bows
