Changelog - December 2024
Back to ArchiveDecember 31, 2024
Fixed issue that the banish effect could get removed by Events
Fixed issue that the adventure tool "blood curse" caused the Monsters hp changes to not get saved which could lead to the monster full healing
The event destined death event is back! (Fixed issues that the quest text of that event wasn't displayed as it should)
Adventure Conditional Events
Adventure events can now only trigger when various conditions are met instead of just being rolled by random.
This is especially interesting for everyone who likes to submit events:
Possible Conditions
Morale Below X: Triggers when morale is below X
Morale Above X: Triggers when morale is above X .
Monster Level Below X: Triggers when the monster's level is below X.
Monster Level Above X: Triggers when the monster's level is above X.
Previous Events: Triggers only if specific events (e.g., "A Dire Prediction" and "Arena Betting Spectacle") have already occurred in this adventure. You can chain multiple prerequisite events to enforce specific sequences.
Player Effect: Triggers if at least one player has a specified effect (e.g., "Plagued").
Party Effects: Triggers only if enough players in the party have one of the specified effects (e.g., "Wounded," "Badly Wounded," "Maimed"). For instance, if the event requires three players, but only two have these effects, the event will not trigger.
Party Class: Triggers only if enough players in the party belong to specific classes. Similar to party effects, the event requires a minimum number of qualifying players.
Party Race: Triggers only if enough players in the party belong to specified races (e.g., "Human," "Elf," "Demon"). Works the same way as class-based triggers.
Item Requirements: Triggers if at least the specified quantity of an item is present in the current adventure inventory (e.g., 1 "Coin Stack").
All conditions can be combined for more complex scenarios. For example, you can require that a previous event has occurred and that the lobby still has a high morale.
Updates to Old Events
Events that previously left players with only one clickable option now require at least two available options to appear. (In the case that we overlooked an event with only one option, please open a ticket)

Glossary
The outfit glossary is now account based instead of character based.
Resolved an issue where purchasing a skin failed to add the glossary entry for the female skin version.
Naming consistency
We have standardized how character names are displayed across all chat-related areas for consistency:
-> LVL. X Title Username (Epic Badges)
Example:
-> LVL. 42 Founder EmbervaleTV ( :alphabadge: :chronobadge: :mythical: )
Your name is now included in !evraid and !evraid join texts.
Updated commands: !evvote, !evleave, !evjoin, and !evbattle to now consistently display character names.
Texts for the affiliate code usage and skin donations have been aligned with this format and should now be displayed in the language of the stream instead of always english.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue where the raid boss would not faint when dealt damage exceeding their HP.
Fixed a bug allowing skins to be donated to Adventure npcs.
Corrected the Snowman adventure Event to deduct 3 coins instead of 6.
(Resolved yesterday an issue where the material sack from the Tool achievement did not appear in the inventory. If you’ve already claimed the achievement, the sack already appeared in your chest inventory and you may have not noticed this.)
Fixed an issue where !evvote would not work when specifying character names.
Fixed issue that the shop refresh may showed an incorrect cooldown when refreshing

Item Stat Balancing
Over the past few weeks, we’ve updated the item stat generation system for smoother and fairer gameplay:

Weapon stat generation has been slightly adjusted to ensure weapons of the same rarity reflect their level differences, preventing them from being equally strong despite strongly varying levels.

Weapon Damage Adjustment for Improved Transparency
We are making changes to how weapon damage is calculated to enhance transparency and comparability between classes.
Previous System:
Each class had its own weapon damage modifier, ranging from 0.75 to 2:
Knight: 0.75
Warrior: 1.0
Mage: 2.0
Ranger: 1.3
Rogue: 1.2
For example, this system meant that a mage's weapon with 120 damage would be equivalent to a warriors's weapon with only 60 damage.
Issues with the Old System
Limited Comparability: Weapons could only be compared within the same class.
Lack of Transparency: Players were unaware of how exactly the class-specific modifiers are calculated.
Balancing Complexity: Adjusting damage for balance required updating every weapon individually, which is inefficient and cumbersome.
New System
We are removing the class-specific weapon modifiers and standardizing all weapons (existing and future) to a universal scale based on the highest factor of all classes: 2.
What Does This Mean?
Weapons will now be directly comparable across all classes.
The class factor will be applied during the final damage calculation, ensuring that balance remains unaffected.
When hovering over your damage in the character menu, you will see the updated formula. For example:
Damage = (weapon damage / classFactor) * ((strength / 60) + 1)
Important Note
This change does not affect the damage output.
For example:
If you dealt 345 damage before, you will still deal 345 damage after this change.
This update simplifies weapon scaling, improves transparency, and ensures a more user-friendly experience going forward.

Extension v.1.1.6 (1/3)
Balancing
Ranger Ability Update
Previous:
The quiver allows you to reload quicker granting a 7% chance to strike twice in a row
New:
The ranger's barbed arrows apply a bleed effect on critical strikes for two turns.
Bleed reduces healing by 50% and deals 3% damage each round.
We’ve replaced the Quickdraw ability with this update. Bleed improves the Ranger’s effectiveness against Warriors and makes them more valuable in adventures. Quickdraw was too similar to Stealth, offering little differentiation beyond its animation.
This change a) improves the ranger against warriors b) makes rangers a lot more interesting for adventures (quick draw was essentially the same as stealth with just a different animation)
Adjusted the shield of the knight:
Previous:
Equip a shield reducing physical damage by 75% with a 30% chance.
New:
Equip a shield that grants a 30% chance to reduce incoming damage: 75% for melee attacks and 25% for ranged attacks.
This adjustment balances the Knight's defenses, giving Rangers a better chance against Knights while retaining some protection against Mages.
The new formula increases the resulting magic resistance percentage for all players.
Previous:
((Magical Resistance + Wisdom/3) / lvl * 0.08) * 100
New:
((Magical Resistance + Wisdom/3) / (lvl * 10)) * 100
Buffed Rogue's Vitality Calculation:
Previous:
(1 + vit * 0.1) * (1 + 0.01 * lvl) * 15 + 10
New:
(1 + vit * 0.1) * (1 + 0.01 * lvl) * 16 + 10
Extension v.1.1.6 (2/3)
Item Generation
Mythical items now always include your class's main stat and vitality.
Legendary items now always include your class's main stat.
Epic items now have a slight bias toward your class's main stat.
Shop Refresh
The refresh price in copper has been drastically reduced. Additionally, the price now scales with the player's level instead of the gear available in the shop, making copper-based rerolls much more appealing.
Character Menu
The inventory upgrade button is now permanently visible.
The rogue's stat display has been updated: Evasion has been replaced with Stealth, which now includes the base 10% stealth chance inherent to rogues.
Arena
The money-stealing mechanic has been completely removed.
As a result, the shield mechanic has also been fully eliminated. This change ensures players can freely participate in the Arena without fear of losing their money.
Players now earn a small amount of gold for winning fights, based on the loot indicator. You don't lose anything when you lose a fight.
Expedition
Adjusted XP rewards for recipes. XP is now calculated based on the rarity and quantity of ingredients, significantly increasing the XP earned for more challenging recipes.
You can now hire an explorer to go on expeditions! They gather two materials per hour, allowing you to farm resources while participating in bounties, arena battles, or dungeons.
You don't automatically load into expeditions anymore when reloading the game as there could be multiple expeditions ongoing.
The player depletion system has been removed. Expeditions now have a fixed duration, making node depletion more predictable and eliminating the need to interrupt your current activity to claim a node.
Increased the base depletion rate of nodes from 8% to ~16% per hour, resulting in nodes lasting approximately 6 hours.
Extension v.1.1.6 (3/3)
Consumables
Added a filter system for consumables, allowing you to sort by the following categories: Food, Potion, Coins, Event, Bundle, and Other.
Crafting
Each crafting level now increases your material inventory by 20 instead of 10.
Adventure
The Twitch username of a player is now displayed in the reward menu, making it easier to search for users by name.
Fixed synchronization issues with monster stats.
Adventure Tools
Tool Distribution Update: Tools are now distributed to users who participate in adventure voting. This change aims to:
a) Minimize AFK users holding onto tools.
b) Balance tool distribution between high- and low-level players.
c) Encourage greater participation in voting.
Fixed a visual bug where tools didn’t reset properly in a streamer’s inventory.
Added a confirmation popup when using tools.
Streamers now have a dedicated button to view all and use tools obtained by their characters.
Viewers' tool inventories now display tools across all their characters, eliminating the need to switch between characters to use tools.
Fixed an issue where the "Wanted" event incorrectly consumed two coin stacks instead of one.
New adventure events:
Abyssalite Veins Event
Dart Trap Encounter
Duskwood Lost Child Event
Glued Coin Encounter
Hidden Spring Discovery Event
Legendary Weapon Shrine Event
Mimic Sign Encounter
Party Drama Event
Prophetic Dream Event
Quicksand Rescue Event
Vampire Accusation Event
