Character Slot Price
We’ve reduced the cost of purchasing additional character slots:
500 :arcanite: → 349 :arcanite:
If you bought extra slots recently, you’ll receive a partial refund of the difference: 151 – (days × 2) :arcanite:.
Achievements
Defeat 25,000 monsters (no one has achieved this yet). Mythical Chest → Royal Chest.
Adventure
Adjusted the Scheming adventure event — it will now only trigger if party morale is low.
Updated the Enchanted Forest Trap event to include player names for better clarity.
Multi-Account Enhancements (Website & Steam)
Your username now appears in the window title, making it easier to track the correct character when playing multiple accounts.
Added an option to open a character in a new window — available on both the website and also working on the Steam version! 🤌
Title Notifications
When a bounty is ready, the window title will blink with → ⚔️ Fight – Embervale.TV
When an expedition is ready, the window title will blink with → 🔎 Collect – Embervale.TV
These improvements make it much easier for multi-character players to manage bounties and expeditions.
Steam-Version Updates
The game now automatically detects your resolution on the first start instead of defaulting to 1920×1080, preventing issues on smaller screens.
Added a setting to switch between windowed and fullscreen mode (you can also toggle with F11).
Added a setting to change the resolution.
(Note: Title notifications are only available on the Website & Steam — this isn’t possible in the Twitch Extension.)

Version 1.4.0 – Major Content Update: Ascended Bosses & More!
🌋 New Endgame Challenge – Ascended Bosses
For those who conquered the Embervale Dungeon… your journey isn’t over. Embervale has erupted with new threats—Ascended Bosses have emerged! Head to the Dungeon menu and step through the portal to face these powerful foes and protect Embervale once again.
Tip: Don’t go in unprepared. Use potions to boost your chances and claim victory against Embervale’s fiercest foes yet.
📈 Level Cap Increased!
Climb even higher—train your characters beyond previous limits. The new level cap is 275.
💰 More Loot!
Mythical items can now drop from bounties.
Added Brews: Small, Medium, and Large Brews grant you a random potion on use. Find them in adventure fights, events and achievements!
🏆 New Achievements
10 new achievements for reaching higher character levels.
4 new achievements for defeating Ascended Bosses.
4 new arena win achievements added (progress starts from now—past wins don't count).
Adjusted the level 175 achievement to unlock at level 170 instead.
🎁 New Bundles Available
A highly requested addition: the Rare + Uncommon Bundle has been added to the shop!
⚗️ Crafting Updates
Alchemy
Frog has been reintroduced to expeditions.
15 new elemental potions added—each enhancing specific elemental power.

6 new recipes added to make use of previously underused ingredients.

⚙️ General Improvements
🖥️ Fullscreen Experience
The game now properly utilizes the full width of the screen (for 16:9 and narrower aspect ratios). No more awkward square layouts!
📱 Mobile Optimization
On very small screens, badges are now hidden in the leaderboard to avoid clipping and improve overall readability.
Adventures
Streamers can now view detailed statistics at the end of adventures, including dice rolls, successes, failures, and more.
Fame updates are now shown live when users receive it.
If an event tries to give a tool but all voting players already own one, a message now indicates the tool was discarded instead of nothing happening.
Increased the icon size of Morale Plus and Morale Minus by 25%.
Effects that don’t make sense to stack—such as Vampiristic—can no longer be stacked. If an effect displays a number, it's stackable.
Introduced a system that removes conflicting effects e.g:
Gaining Agile removes Drowsy. Gaining Drowsy removes Agile.
The adventure highscore leaderboard has been reset.
(Due to a short period during the recent major balancing update where values were unintentionally off, some streamers reached highscores that aren’t realistically achievable under the corrected system. Only the highscore itself has been reset — your total number of hosted adventures remains unchanged. So if you host another adventure, you should be able to climb back near your previous highscore quickly.)

Camp Fire event: Added a new option that allows you to risk players instead of loot.
The Legendary Feast event: The heal now correctly targets players that were already wounded. Buffed the reward on succeeding the dexterity roll and winning the battle.
Boulder Barrier event: Added new outcomes on success.
Improved wording in spirit wish event
Stability Improvements
Fixed an issue where selecting a player using /evme and then them using /evhide would freeze the animation and lock the menu until a refresh.
Fixed a bug where banishing a player while in the /evme or /evhide menu could make them disappear and freeze the animation.
Fixed a bug where characters would freeze when using a filter that displayed only monsters during adventures.
🛠️ Crafting Menu
Recipes are now sorted by rarity and then by quantity, improving readability and consistency.
The crafting progress bar now displays the exact percentage.
Fixed an issue where the active recipe tooltip scaled up too much on mobile, making it hard to close.
Removed some outdated paper icons for a cleaner look.
🌿 Expeditions
When leaving an expedition, you'll now see the change in your material counts instead of just closing the menu.

🎯 Bounties
The Bounty Menu can now display in fullscreen up to three bounties side by side for better visibility.

Replaced the paper icons. (We will make further adjustments to the paper, we already received a lot of feedback that it looks like cheese, thank you!)
🧙 Character Menu
You can now open multiple chests at once! Select a chest type, and if you own several, a slider will appear (up to 16 at once).
Chests now show a notification icon if you have any unopened.
Hovering over your job level now displays the XP progress bar and percentage.
Added a sort by stat or date feature for your items—making it easier to optimize gear sets for specific builds.

Updated the background to a better-scaling version across all resolutions.
The Merchant now holds a glowing golden stone when a Legendary item is available, and a purple one when a Mythical item is in stock—making rare finds stand out at a glance!

Adventure
Combating Toxicity & Supporting New Players
We’ve taken steps to address rising toxicity—especially toward new players. First impressions matter, and being met with hostility during a first adventure can push newcomers away. Many don’t yet realize when an adventure is near its end and may join without knowing the context or expectations.
To give streamers more control and reduce frustration, we’ve introduced new options to limit who can join adventures based on level:
Join Restrictions (set by the streamer in game by pressing on the settings button during an adventure):
✅ Anyone can join (Default)
🔒 Minimum level: 30% of opponent’s level (e.g., level 60 vs. level 200)
🔒 Minimum level: 40% of opponent’s level (e.g., level 80 vs. level 200)
🔒 Minimum level: 50% of opponent’s level (e.g., level 100 vs. level 200)
🔒 Minimum level: 60% of opponent’s level (e.g., level 120 vs. level 200)
🛈 These restrictions only apply to monsters above level 30. Below that, everyone can join.
If a player doesn’t meet the level requirement, they’ll see a clear explanation:
“You’re not quite strong enough for this stage. The group is currently facing a level 50 monster, and you need to be at least level XY to join this adventure. Try leveling up a bit, or jump in when the streamer starts the next adventure!”

Improvements in our Event system
Especially interesting for those submitting events: Succeeding on dice rolls during adventures can now trigger multiple outcomes! We've upgraded the system to allow for even more variety in future adventure event design.
We've updated two events to showcase this new feature:
Market Heist Dilemma: — passing the dice roll now leads to different outcomes that support the random reward earned. Additionally changed the uncommon material chest outcome to something new.
Mind Reading Attempt - in addition to having multiple new outcomes, the event was changed to use the defending player's magical resistance instead of the attacking player's stat. Because of this, failing the roll now leads to good outcomes, and passing it is dangerous!
Other event changes:
Fixed an issue with player fall event incorrectly wounding a player.
Fixed an issue with passing both rolls on spiritual fox event not giving the proper outcome.
Fixed an incorrectly selected player on troublesome tavern event.
Removed decorated chest from cursed tree dilemma event rewards.
Changed Rebellion in the Ranks event to only faint players on the team that loses the fight.
Other
Fixed an issue where players currently participating in an event could still be sent into training.
Fixed a bug where the Transformed effect appeared in the battle morale summary, even when its value was 0.
Improvements
Updated the Royal Chest icon with a new design that better fits the overall theme.
Replaced the Coin Pile image to remove the spider webs.
Colorblind Accessibility Improvements:
Medium and Large potions in your inventory now include their corresponding stat icons directly on the bottle. This makes it easier to tell them apart—especially for similar-looking potions like Large Accuracy (orange) and Large Strength (red).

BYE BYE IOS CRASHES 👋
We've finally implemented a workaround for a longstanding issue where iPhones rendered characters differently, often causing the game to crash, turn white, or reload unexpectedly. This update should significantly improve stability on iOS devices.
Improved Loading Screen Feedback
We've enhanced the loading screen to show which asset is currently loading.
This will help both users and us better understand loading issues, making it easier to troubleshoot when the game gets stuck or takes longer than expected.
New: Graphics Scale Setting
A new Graphics Scale option has been added to the settings.
Adjusts animation sharpness and performance.
Ranges from 50% to 150% (default is 100%).
Lower-end devices can now enjoy smoother performance by reducing the scale.
Other fixes
Fixed an issue where the male and female Warrior Skytear bestiary entries were incorrectly swapped.
Fixed Monster Name Tree Magical -> Magical Tree
Corrected the Mage's ability tooltip to properly display their boosted stat.
